WhatsApp marketers and entrepreneurs? Rod checking in wanting to bring you guys another article. Today I’m going to talk about passive income via YouTube. A lot of you guys like YouTube, a lot of you guys like passive income, and a lot of you guys are trying to figure out how you can leverage YouTube to get passive income. Well, I have three talking points that I’m going to cover today and I’m going to get you started with those.

Obviously, there are more than three ways to get your passive income from YouTube and I get into more strategies in my free 7 Step Guide below, so go ahead and sign up for that so you can really take your YouTube and passive income to the next level.

A lot of you guys see the glamorous side of passive income and you want to do the same. You may see people being on the beach drinking a margarita and sitting with their laptop and seeing money coming in. You can get to that point but it’s going to take some work. It’s going to take you guys being strategic about what you’ve got to do to really put yourself in the position to make that passive income.

YouTube is a critical resource in making that happen. YouTube can really put you in a position to win.

No Content No Income

So number one point guys no content, no income. Some of you guys think you can come on YouTube and expect to put up canned videos made by someone else and expect that to work, no. You’ve got to start a brand. You’ve got the build content and trust. But this can do this while you sleep if done right. When you can create a video, put it up on Youtube and it is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week even while you sleep.

YouTube will, depending on the type of content you create, will promote your content. They will put your content in front of people who have problems that you could solve. This is something that doesn’t require any activity from you, i.e. done passively for you. You will get people subscribing to your channel and you will get people to trust you just like I’m doing now with my 7 step guide. I’m getting you guys to sign up for that so that you can find your niche.

Say for example gardening, you can start a garden or a photography Channel, create your videos, start doing tutorials, giving instructions and providing guides. Once you do that, you can go off and do something else. That video is going to be working for you in the background. YouTube has that level of power.

The best way to gain your audience’s confidence and trust are through visual means. They see you, they look at your body language, they hear your voice, your tonality. There’s so much stuff you can do on YouTube that you can’t do from other platforms. So leverage your content let’s put it in a way where you could put that video out there and you can make money while you sleep.

The best feeling in the world is when you wake up in the morning and see somebody purchased your course or somebody consumed your content. You’re helping people without having to be in front of them. Obviously at some point, you want to engage with them, you want to do meetups and chats and provide customer service but for the most part, you can, I repeat you can make money passively via YouTube. A very powerful tool guys.

Don’t Follow Trends

Talking point number two, do not follow trends. So it’s tempting to follow trends and to create videos and content on those trends but stick with your niche. Stick with what makes you unique. Follow that strategy to the T. Obviously you’re going to have one or two pieces of content you can make money via other topics but you want 95% of your content to be in your niche positioning yourself in a certain niche.

Trends are okay if you position yourself accordingly. But don’t necessarily run to the trend or don’t follow the trend. If for some reason your Niche has a trendy topic and you are already talking about that, then you can position yourself to be in an authority for that trend and leverage that trend. But don’t chase it, don’t switch your content or strategies around trying to follow trends. That’s not going to work.

You may even get to the point where you get traffic from the trends but you’re going to quickly find out trends are trends for a reason. For example, if you get in on a trend too late, how many people bought fidget spinners. A lot of people got rich off of those but I guarantee you some poor guy somewhere had a whole lot inventory or went off and leveraged his house to buy fidget spinner inventory towards the end of that trend and now they’re going bankrupt because they can sell them any more.

Also, trends create processes that are just not replicable. You need to put in place processes and you are able to replicate when you’re dealing with passive income. With passive income you get the people to come to you inbound yeah you do a little outbound here and there but most of the passive income is generated by people coming in, seeing your ads and they like your specific niche and they have a problem or a need in that topic and they’re going to come to you in the future. Guess who they went to for trends in the past? They don’t know because they don’t remember because trends are like that because there’s no branding involved. so guys keep that in mind and stay away from trends.

Solve Evergreen Problems 

Number three, solve problems in the evergreen niches. Evergreen problems are the main source of passive income. If you want consistent passive income, you have to solve problems in an evergreen niche. This way you’re going to make money year after year. An evergreen niche is in the health, wealth and finance categories. Those are the main ones but there are tons more guys. Again I get into more detail send my 7 step marketing guide so check it out. The link is at the bottom of this article.

In my 7 step guide, I give you examples of niches that are going to help you make that passive income over and over and over again in the evergreen niches. That is the core reason why passive income works because people are going to always have issues in the evergreen industries. People are always going to need to solve problems in the evergreen niches. People are always going to have a need for cameras or gardening or software development or technology. All these needs are going to exist 5, 10, 20 years from now. The question is what type of content is going to be available to help them to solve those problems. That’s where you come in with your passive income guys it. It’s so important that you position yourself for this passive income and claim that niche.

So, guys, I don’t want to make my content too general I want you guys to position yourself for success. What I need you to do is I need you to start making content. Have you even picked your niche? Are you trying to get a job? Are you trying to start a business? Are you trying to do freelance? Once you decide on that, then pick your niche. Get that income coming in so you can take care of your bills. Make sure you got food on the table. Make sure you can survive. Next, you want to start creating income over and above what you need to survive, i.e. your passive income so that you could start making money while you sleep. That’s the difference between active income and passive income.

At first, you’re going to be growing your active income and that requires your time. It’s going to require you to be there which is okay. Then at the same time start creating your passive income. After we do the initial setup, we want our passive income to grow as much as possible, by positioning ourselves and by doing the three things that I mentioned in this article.

So, guys, I urge you to really start prioritizing your passive income once you get your active income squared away. In either case, you will be making money with your skills, your knowledge, whatever business or job you’re going to do to take care of your active income. Then you want to start positioning yourself for more and more passive income over time. It’s going to grow and it’s definitely going to become your favorite because you don’t have to do much to keep it going. Once you get it going, once that snowball starts rolling and gets it off the ground, you got your brand working for you, your technology is working for you, your content is working for you and all those things you’re doing on YouTube.

What’s up marketers and entrepreneurs Rod checking in wanting to bring you another article today. Today we’re going to talk about how to start an online marketing business or agency in 2019. I got three talking points I want to go over today. I want to help you guys start your marketing business so you can make more money in your life and your career and take your income to the next level.

Specialize in a Niche (SEO, Social Media Marketing, Paid Advertising, Email Marketing)

First of all, guys when you are setting up a marketing agency you have to understand that this is a long term commitment. This is something that you’re not going to turn around in a couple of days and expect to make money. It’s going to be a work in progress when it comes to branding and making money online with your business.

You want to come across as being professional so number one guys let’s talk about specializing. I know a lot of you guys think that you could solve all the problems with marketing but you’re going to be more effective when you could specialize in one general area. When it comes to marketing yourself to other clients if you specialize in SEO, that’s not to say you can’t do any paid advertising work, I do email marketing work, I do social media marketing but everybody knows me as their SEO go-to guy. So you have got to make sure that you’re known for something and you’re not a jack of all trades. Just pick one that you’re the best at.

It’s going to be natural once you get that account and start providing value to that particular client, that you’re going to want to offer more services. They’re going to trust you because you have proven yourself already but there’s going to be more money in your pocket when you specialize. You could charge more and you can resonate more. Your clients are going to know this is what I come for, this is what I come to this person for and once you build that relationship and get a couple wins under your belt they will allow you to help out with other things. Then you can charge accordingly for those additional services.

Have An Ideal Customer

So talking point number two is focus on your ideal customer. This is a big one. You need to know what your ideal customer looks like. Or at least know what the customer you don’t want looks like. Don’t just go for the big fish, the small fish, or whatever customer will let you pitch to them. In the beginning, I can understand that but you have to at some point come to focus in on what your ideal customer looks like. Here’s why.

It’s so important that you develop standard operating procedures because once you start scaling your business, you will come to depend more and more on your standard processing. When you have a certain type of customer and certain expectations, you can really position yourself so that you can help a certain type of client.

A lot of online agencies or freelancers who want to start agencies, just go for any client. At the beginning that is ok because you’re trying to get your business off the ground. But when you get that first couple of clients, you have to start to have a standard type of client. Because once you get into onboarding that client and maintaining your standard operating procedures, you want to be able to outsource those jobs to your team.

The issue is, you can’t do everything, that’s why it’s very important to have that standard client. When you had that standard client, it is easier to create a standard process, a checklist, a standard you do for every client. Obviously the target market industry may change a little bit but the core process itself should be pretty standard for every account that you bring to your team.

Having a certain type of client will enable you to help make your team training a lot more effective. Then you can step away from your business and someone else will know what’s going on. Instead of you going out and getting a wide range of clients that has different needs that want all kind of different things and you’re trying to deliver on all of them. You’re probably going to fail.

Everyone struggles with this issue. I did and it drove me crazy because I couldn’t properly hire and train my team in a standardized manner. When you don’t standardize your clientele and your, therefore, your hiring and processing system it will be hard for you to take what you have in your mind and put it into practice. Worse you will have issues satisfying every client. I ended up closing that particular agency because I couldn’t hire anybody at a decent rate especially living here in Mississippi. It’s was hard to bring on software developers because I didn’t have a standard process and procedure to guide them on how to onboard and maintain those clients.

Having a standard client and matching processes in place is going to make things so much easier AND it’s going to give you in a leg up on your competition.

A lot of your business is management i.e. just making sure things get done the right way and automate as much as possible, the better your business is going to run. If you can lean on systemizing and having standard processes you’re going to make your life a lot easier in the long run.

Charge The Right Amount (Not Too High Or Not Too Low)   

My third point is to make sure you research rates and charge the right fee. A lot of people charge a low rate at the beginning just to get the initial business. The problem is once you set that price, it sets an expectation on your quality of work, get an effective team together at the lower rates and it is difficult to raise your prices. Also, don’t charge too much either.

You don’t want to overbid especially with accounts that are used to paying low prices. It is very important to charge the right fee from the get-go. But if you are not sure I would err on the side of being too high rather than too low because you can always come down. If you’re too low you can’t always go up once you start. We all make mistakes so giving an overestimate or an underestimate it’s okay but with some research, you will find that middle ground.

For example, SEO services typically charge between $1,500 and $2,500 for a law agency. You would think that a small little agency law firm couldn’t afford to pay a thousand dollars a month for marketing but you would be wrong. These small law firms can easily get million-dollar clients. To be able to get one of those accounts is realistic so you need to be in the price range at the very minimum in the $1,500 per month range.

It’s very important that you charge the right amount from the start. I’d rather you charge on the high end of the range you research for a particular niche. Because it is easier to negotiate the price lower to get the low rather than start low and try to raise your prices after you get that first job. You can’t go back up once you give him that deal. Even if you negotiate an initial low rate at the beginning, once your client gets used to that low rate they will balk when you try to raise your rate after that. If you give an SEO deal of $500 the first month and next month you try to come up to $1,000, you’re essentially doubling your price which is not going to work. Before you accept a job for a particular client you should research that clients’ size and the revenues for that particular industry.

I give instructions on how to get your digital marketing agency and business off the ground and set that foundation. Especially how you can scale your business without you having to babysit 24/7, or getting calls in the middle of the night about things that you could automate and make life a whole lot easier for yourself.

Yes, that’s right Facebook guys. I know we talked about Facebook a lot in another video but I wanted to cover it from an online business perspective. If you decide to start your business on Facebook I’m going to show you how you get traffic sales and how to put your content on Facebook the right way.

I used to waste a ton of time putting content facebook that never got any traffic. Because my digital marketing content always went against what Facebook wanted to push. In this article, I want to put you guys in a position to save time and start making money and grow your business as fast as possible on Facebook.

Leverage Facebook’s Onsite Conversion Tools To Get Lead Signups And Keep Users On Facebook

You need to leverage Facebook on-site conversion tools. I know a lot of people are going to tell you no on this and I’m talking specifically about organic content traffic. What happens with organic content is when you attempt to send traffic away from Facebook to your opt-in page, you are going to get suppressed. What I would recommend for organic traffic if you’re going to go the route of actually trying to get leads is to leverage their on-site lead conversion tool. Facebook actually has a button that’ll get that lead on Facebook.

I know it’s not going to really give you the engagement that you want initially because they don’t go to your website and opt into your email list by entering their email. But this does it gives you an initial list to work with by targeting your niche market and grow your list faster.

There are other strategies with paid ads that actually send them directly to your page to build more of a relationship and probably better quality leads but I’m talking about organic traffic from Facebook. So you can get the maximum amount of exposure from Facebook without them actually stepping on you like a little cockroach. Facebook does not like it when you are sending too much traffic off of Facebook. they will suppress your message if you do that so guys you have to be aware of this tool and if you don’t you’re going to find yourself doing a lot of work to create Facebook content to find out that Facebook is not even showing your post.

One more Point relating to this is we all know that we’re only getting 5% of the organic traffic that we used to get out of Facebook. I know a lot of you guys are going to say don’t use Facebook. A lot of people hate using Facebook but I would say there’s still some meat on that bone. I wouldn’t use Facebook as my primary organic traffic Source. If you’re into paid ads it’s certainly can work. But with organic Facebook traffic, you can build a secondary list. Facebook is good for that kind of stuff.

Just five years ago we use to get 95% of organic traffic from Facebook but now it’s only 5% so I want to make sure everybody is on the same page about how to leverage Facebook.

Don’t Spend Too Many Resources On Facebook Pages

Facebook pages used to be your bread-and-butter when growing your online business. There is still some value there but only a fraction of what it used to be. Facebook page is somewhere for your prospect to go while on the Facebook platform to get more information about you. They allow you to put your links on there to your outside page. But for the most part, don’t put too many resources into a Facebook page. I find there are better options than Facebook pages. Facebook pages don’t rank on Google anymore. Even Facebook doesn’t push pages because they know that is a good chance you may bounce.

Facebook knows that their money is on that feed they want you to stay on that feed as much as possible because you are much less likely to bounce. Facebook controls the Narrative of what you see on that the feeds. They know they can’t control you if you bounce.

You need to know where Facebook wants their visitors to be and you want your content to be optimized there. Which is on the feeds. With that being said you should know the Facebook community does give you the second best option as long as you’re chatting on a group feed and you’re seeing what’s in that community feed that’s a good approach for Facebook.

Groups Are Where You Want To Spend Time For Organic Traffic.

Facebook likes when you’re scrolling down looking at all the different content in the feeds because they have a lot more control over that what you see. You have a good chance of getting your content pushed in the feeds. Leverage Facebook that way even though there’s going to be some people say Facebook is not a good organic source of traffic. Yes, you can do better with Reddit and Pinterest but I’m talking about the benefits of Facebook. You can post content 4 or 5 times a day on facebook but do not pitch your affiliate links directly in a Facebook feed. You can convert them over to sales once they visit your website.

Yes, you want to establish a Facebook page and engage with your Facebook followers. Yes, you want to start groups and spend your time engaging with your community as much as possible to leverage that organic traffic. To stay in Facebook’s good graces to put yourself in a position to help as many people out as possible. This will put you in a position to win.

How to Start Affiliate Marketing on Reddit STEP by STEP for Beginners!

Whats up marketers and entrepreneurs? Rod here checking in bringing you new content. Today we’re going to talk about how to make money with affiliate marketing on the Reddit platform. People on Reddit love to consume authoritative content, like the articles, the threads, the subreddits. Digital marketers try to figure out how they can leverage all of this knowledge on Reddit and convert it into affiliate marketing profits. I want to give you guys three strategies today.

Before I cover my talking points I’m going to assume that you kind of already know what Niche you want to be in. If you don’t know what your niche is or if you don’t know anything about your niche, if you don’t know how to solve problems in your niche, my talking points are not going to help you. If you think you’re going to be a fly-by-night of affiliate marketing pushing all kinds of offers to see what sticks, you will be wasting your time. You will be better off studying the niche you want to be in first. That is the way to make long term money with affiliate marketing. If you have questions about what niche you want to get into, my 7 step guide below will help you so go ahead and get that first. In it I talk about how to take your career to the next level.

Reddit is unique among the social media platforms in that the rules are similar to forums because of the way it delivers content and engages the community. It requires a lot of external sources, i.e. people and influencers. They come to Reddit for a mix of engaging content, news, and authority boards. Yes, Reddit users go there for entertainment but they are serious about there content because they pride themselves on the trustworthy product and service feedback, therefore, they must have impartial authentic reviews. Not people pushing affiliate marketing reviews with an agenda to sell.

Reddit traffic likes clicking through to the subReddits on a particular topic then reading the content and commenting on it. The thing that’s different for a lot of users, at least a lot of digital marketers, is we want to come on there and start pushing offers. We want to come in read, and start pushing out offers right from the start. This is a big no-no. Which leads me to my first talking point.

Become A Community Member Before You Sell.

First of all, your job is to become a member of your niche community then present yourself as an authority before you start selling anything. Reddit moderators will kick you out if you push offers on stuff without people knowing who you are. Second of all after you become part of your niche’s community you must start to provide great insight into helping people solve their problems and consistently do that over time. When you’ve delivered enough value and you’ve built those relationships with the people on the subreddits, then you can occasionally throw out some product or service offer.

The Reddit audience will think hey Rod gave us all this great free content let me go check out his product because I know if he gives great value away for free, just imagine how great his paid product is going to be.

That’s the strategy you have to use with Reddit. Reddit is one of those places that has almost a cult-like community where you’re not just going to go in there and just start pushing offers. I’ve tried it several times so I know from experience how it works.

For example, provide value by answering some of the questions posted, answer some of the feedback on different articles within your niche, read what the people are putting out there and engage with the community. See what people need, what are the trends, then provide insight and products where it fits best and you’re going to find out you’re going to make way more money that way. That is the Reddit strategy in a nutshell. Bottom line, engage a lot then you can start gently pushing your offers.

Don’t Join Too Many Subreddits And Spread Yourself Too Thin. (Too Many Affiliate Offers )

That brings me to my next tip and that is don’t join too many subreddits. It’s not the number of subreddits that you join, it’s the amount of value you are adding to a specific subReddit. You want to build a good reputation in a specific niche. Keep in your niche and stay in the primary subreddit that supports your niche. This is the fastest way to put you in a position of authority.

If people looking at your thread see that you are an authority in affiliate marketing, digital marketing, online marketing, and social media marketing the will think hey this guy really knows about marketing. And if they have a question about marketing guess who they’re going to go to? You! Versus if they see one guy talking about marketing then talking cats, fitness, gardening, cameras, and cars, all this different stuff you will come across as generalist Jack of all trades and unless you’re an entertainer that will not work.

People want a specialists today. Generalists don’t get far, at least in the digital marketing world in 2019. If you would have gotten in the game early before all the competition and spammers kicked-in maybe you’d have success with the jack-of-all-trades strategy. But today you need to niche down to be able to cut through the noise and become an authority and an influencer in a specific space. Do that consistently over time and you are going to get a lot of traffic. You’re going to get noticed and if you could deliver value to that traffic on many different platforms you will really take off.

With Reddit, you’ll get a ton of Engagement and it’s so important that you get that engagement and those thumbs up (votes) because it’s just like any other platform, once the moderators start seeing that you’re getting a ton of engagement, the algorithms start pushing you as an authority.

I want to stress that you want to master a category and stick with just a few subReddits. You don’t need to be in a hundred different subReddits.

Don’t Use Reddit Like Other Social Platforms

Talking point number three, don’t use Reddit like you use other social media platforms. I’ve made this mistake. I’ve tried to duplicate what I’m doing successfully on Instagram or YouTube but it didn’t work on Reddit. You have to study a particular platform and that particular community to see what works and figure out how they like doing things. Reddit is very different from other platforms. For example, on Twitter, you can post offers every fifteen minutes and it’s just fine because there’s so much content through there and so many different tweets it’s expected that people are going to be tweeting multiple times a day. But it’s not the case on Reddit and other forums. but my point is to find out what is the best way to produce or promote your content on Reddit.

Tell A Story With Your Photos – Not Just Random Images All The Time.

My first talking point is so important. You need to be careful not to come across as being a spammer or a scammer. You must be able to resonate with people’s needs, problems, issues, successes, etc. The way to do this is to tell stories with your photos. It took me a while to catch on to this. I used to post pictures of things unrelated to my niche. Like it was my personal account. But I realized I had to take a different approach when it came to my business.

Yes, you want to build a relationship with your audience by sharing your life experiences. But the thing is you want them to take a specific action. You want them to either buy your product or subscribe to your email list. So it’s very important that you tell a story that puts them in in a state of mind that they want to take action or build a relationship with you. Random pictures just don’t do that.

Depending on your niche will depend on what content you put out there in your pictures. For example, you can post pictures with motivational type messages and this way here they could be more motivated to take action. When you are starting your Instagram business you have to be able to strategically post pictures that will

  • Introduce them to your business
  • Build awareness
  • Build trust
  • Put them in a state of mind to take action

By doing this you will take your marketing career to the next level. Once your audience becomes familiar with you, they will be more ready to take action.

Instagram is not like other platforms where you have a business element that is prominent and obvious, where you are actively looking for new business. When you’re scrolling through Instagram you looking at just pictures and when you’re scrolling through pictures you’re not necessarily looking like buy something. You are merely scrolling through pictures. So you have to understand the state of mind of someone who’s scrolling through these pictures on Instagram. They are not necessarily looking for a specific product or service, they are looking to be entertained so you should not bombard them with sales pitch after sales pitch. That is not the right way to grow your business on Instagram.

The best way is to first resonate with them. What I mean by resonate is you need to make them feel like they have something in common with you. So display the lifestyle of your business and personal life as it relates to the lifestyle of a digital marketer. Show pictures of what you do as a digital marketer, your office, your team, your screenshots. That way they could resonate with something that will inspire them to be like you. To have what you have. Every now and then you could show off your car or your house or your family but plug your business when doing it. Have them resonate with your business, personal lifestyle and even your community. The things that you do for fun on the side, even pictures of you and your team out having fun. Anything that will help them to resonate with something that you have posted in your Instagram pictures.

Some example will be:

  • Pictures of how you produce your product or service
  • Motivation pictures with motivational text overlaid.
  • Pictures that will put your audience in a state of mind to
    • take action
    • want to be like you
    • make them want to get started

This is where your links come in. You can put links to your site in your pictures and in the description area of your Instagram post. Recently Instagram has added an option at the bottom left-hand corner to make it easier for your audience to click and sign up. Making your audience more likely to take action and getting involved with your community. As a side note, Instagram is looking to leverage businesses more. So this is a great time to get involved with Instagram.

The point is you want to be able to tell a story in your pictures without coming across as spammy. Instead, come across as helping them out while you’re telling your story about your life and your business.

Stay In Your Lane – Don’t Be An Expert In Everything (Pinching Too Many Product Offers)

Talking point number two. Stay in your lane guys. Don’t be a jack of all trades and try to be an expert at everything. Stay in your niche. Yes you can post random pictures outside of your niche but you don’t want to come across as being an expert when you are not. For example, you could post a random picture about your car but you don’t want to come across as a car expert. You can post things on the peripheral of your Niche but don’t go far outside of your niche. You want to be your audience’s go-to guy to solve their problems.

For example, when people see a picture of me they can count on seeing a post about digital marketing. So my audience knows that when they have a need for online marketing, they can come to me. They don’t want to see me rebuilding a car or seeing a random picture other than digital marketing. Every blue moon you can post a random picture but that is all.

What this does is give your audience the feeling that you are always putting them first. You will always come across as providing value to your audience. Being aware of your audience’s needs so they will come to you to solve their problems. The ratio could be 10 to 1, for every 10 times you post pictures in your niche you should post one random picture outside of your niche. But even with that random one, you can give a little bit more content to that picture in relation to your niche. For example, you could say hey I’m taking a break from marketing, chilling out. You still mentioned in your Niche by it’s putting that picture into context. That goes along with telling that story where you actually have down times outside of your niche.

Don’t Hard Hard Sell In Every Post.

Last but not least my third talking point is don’t hard sell on each and every post. Being part of a digital marketing community like Instagram puts you in a position to see that the hard sell doesn’t work. Me being a digital marketer I like to sit back and observe other people and how they do their strategies. When it comes to digital marketing on Instagram I cannot imagine anyone subscribing to someone who’s constantly pitching them.
These marketers wonder why they are not succeeding.

You do not want to come across as a hard sell used car salesman who is just going to sell you on anything and everything that he has in inventory. Going back to an earlier point I made, you need to consider your audience’s problem and offer them the solution first before selling them anything.

The used car salesman type marketing and the old style sales books out there that push the hard sell DO NOT WORK in today’s online world and especially on Instagram. Guys we are in 2019 whenever you overpitch you rub people the wrong way, you make them feel uncomfortable and you don’t want to do that. Years ago where people didn’t have many options where they were not up on things, people didn’t have options, people weren’t knowledgeable about products. You could get away with the hard sell because they didn’t have the knowledge to challenge you and there wasn’t a lot of other choices so they would settle for what they could get at the moment. But it’s not like that today. In 2019 people can Google search what they are looking for and get information on products instantly and they have many places to buy form.

Bottom line is your audience already has an idea of what they want, so the last thing you want to do is try to pitch them on something unrelated to what they have in mind. That’s why it’s so important to understand your audience’s needs and issues. That’s why it’s so important to ask your audience what they want and what they need.

I see a lot of videos online about making money from home and there’s a lot of scheming going on but I just want to give you guys a straightforward way to make money from home. I am at home now and I am making money so I feel like I’m qualified enough to at least give you some advice on making your first $100 a day or even more. I want to give you guys some tips and tricks to get you started.

Guys if you don’t know who I am my name is Rod Robinson and I’m a digital marketing consultant for Digilink Marketing and I have helped students and business owners take their career and their money to the next level. Have A Dedicated Space For Work Only, And It Should Always Be Ready For Work

So that being said guys so let’s start talking about making money from home. A lot of you guys have to start treating your side hustle or your job as a legitimate source of income as a business. If you want to make serious money you have to take it seriously. If you’re at home it’s so important that you section off areas of your house dedicated specifically for making money specifically for your business. There’s a lot of reasons why you should do this, one because of taxes and legal reasons and another is just a state of mind. If you want to be productive, you got to put yourself in the zone. A lot of advanced marketers and entrepreneurs agree. You have to get in that zone when you start making money and taking your skills and crafts to the next level.

I got a few points I want to make but first I want to know what you guys have been struggling with regarding making money from home with internet marketing. This way I can start gearing my content toward what my audience wants. So go ahead and write your comments below about your experience with digital marketing; your successes or failures or what problems have you been having. I will then do some content specifically about what you guys want and give you customized content.

So now let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. The first point I want to give you is you have to start treating your business as a business. The problem is when you’re at home you may think you can just sit and put your feet up and be lazy at the house. You have to stop and take it seriously because you’re not going to make any money, your kids are going to destroy everything because you don’t take your work area seriously. Even if you have an apartment you need to set up a specific place to run your business. Even if its just a room or just segment a room but you must say hey this is where I take care of business. Always have it cleaned and ready to go.

Optimize Your Home Workspace For Content Creation.

In my office I have my lighting and camera ready to go as soon as I sit down and start to make a new video. I could just pop on these lights and record videos immediately. It’s important that you guys do this too because you have to eliminate any obstacles, things that can go wrong. If you don’t get it set up it’s going to affect your productivity. you are in a much better position when you can just come in sit down and turn on the camera and start recording and all you have to do is upload it from there. Getting your office set up should be a no brainer. Because creating the content is the most important part and you should not have any obstacles to creating your content.

So, you got your office area set up now you have to keep it clean and ready to work. Keep your camera ready, make sure you could shoot content at a moments notice. That brings us to the next point I want to make. You’re going to have to create content whether it be a service page, ads whatever. You’re going to be creating a lot of content to make money from home if you’re going to start a website if you’re going to start a YouTube channel you going to do anything on Facebook anything you do online starts and ends with content. Your blog, service pages, your email list, your squeeze pages, this stuff requires content. Content is king even at home and the key thing is you want to structure yourself so that once you sit down you are in that content creation zone.

I want to get you in that zone to create content for everything that is involved in your business. Your audience comes to you because of your content so your content is going to be the cornerstone of whatever you do even from home. So gear your home office area to facilitate content creation.

You have to have a smooth workflow when creating content at home. That is why it is so important to have a clean designated area specifically for your business. Evan if you have a large closet, anything with heat and air, will work. If that is the only option you have, go with that until you can make enough money to expand.

Promote Your Content As You Would In Your Normal Job – Take Your Home Office Seriously

ok, so you got your online workplace segmented off at home, you got your niche, you know your brand, your audience, your messaging, you create your content, articles, videos, or podcasts. Now you have to promote and sell your products or services affiliate or otherwise. You will have problems if you do this backward. Most people start promoting and selling, this is not going to work in the long run. Promoting products and services, drop shipping, affiliate marketing is the last thing you do. I get into more detail in my seven-step guide below.

So, guys, you want to make sure that you promote to your audience effectively. This is why picking your niche is so important when you are an authority on your subject you have an intimate knowledge of your audience. Just don’t just promote blindly to everybody coming across as a used car salesman. You should know your subject and by extension your audience. That includes the demographics of your audience. Besides age, sex, and location this includes what they like, what they don’t like, when they come on the internet and where what are their problems and what are the solutions. In addition, you need to know what your competitors are doing with their audience so that you know what differentiates yourself from them. Knowing who your target audience is and who likes to buy your product and or services and what stage of the buying process they’re in this is where you’ve got to be laser-focused. Mastering this is what separates the men from the boys.

When you do this, people are going to trust you because they know hey this guy’s is not a fly by night trying to sell me something. You will stand out from the digital marketers who only want to sell. Your audience is going to be curious you’re not trying to only sell them something. Based on people who are curious about your product they know you sell something but you’re not trying to sell to them, that’s beside the point.

Being laser-focused in knowing who your audience is and not overselling to them, having your products, knowing you got the experience and confidence, that your product sells itself. You can do this from home. Then you could put processes in place to scale so you don’t have to work as hard.

I know I went on a tangent there but the point is you can make money with digital/online marketing from home but you have to treat it like a business you have to be serious about it. You can’t just willy-nilly decide you’re going to work from home and wing it like 90% of the businesses that fail over time. But when you take your home based business seriously and follow the steps I outlined above. With the mindset of commitment you will win.

How to Make Money on Clickbank in 2019 ($100 Per Day!)

What’s up marketers in entrepreneurs, Rod checking in bringing you guys an article on ClickBank today. I want to give you guys something specifically for 2019. I want to give you some tips on how to make that first $100 a day by taking your skills, your jobs and your business to the next level. ClickBank is an online site that has a lot of affiliate marketing offers. It gives you an opportunity to make money without having your own products. All of their products are the digital niche type and you have a wide variety of products. All of the poeple selling products on Clickbank are offering you an opportunity to promote their products to your audience and make money doing it.

A lot of the ClickBank content doesn’t give you specifics. So I want to go as deep as possible without making this article too long. I’ve got a few tips for you today.

Pick Offers That Match Your Content & Message

The first tip is pick affiliate offers that match your content, skills, knowledge, and message. I see this all the time people just want to promote products that have the highest payout. This is not the best strategy. You’re going to come across as a sell-out. I don’t care how good you shine it up but everybody knows if you go to ClickBank right now when you sort the offers and you sort by price, that’s what most people are promoting. Just the sheer fact that you’re not going to be promoting the highest price offers is going to set you apart from the competition. You want your audience to know you’re not in it just for the money. You’re here to help your customer, client or prospect. There are other options out there that can personally make you more money but you should not push that down their throat. That’s less money in my pocket in the short-term but that’s okay because I know the life value of that client is going to be larger in the long-term. If you do this you’re going to position yourself for success.

Not pushing high affiliate commission products is going to set you apart because not everybody is going to be promoting the lowest commissions products. I’m not going to say the lowest price but something that makes sense for your content and audience. Pick multiple offers that make sense. We want to create a stack of offers so over time once we create content, we got a content marketing strategy going on any platform.

Pick Multiple offers that you can Promote In Sequence

So pick a niche and you stick with it because once it makes sense for you and your audience and they see your content time and time again your affiliate offers are going to make sense for them. This way you don’t have to force the highest price ClickBank offer down their throat. Instead, promote more of the offers in sequence that make sense for your content.

The point I’m trying to make is creating value, solve problems and create relationships and then place your affiliate offers where it makes sense. Don’t come across too heavy, it’s got to naturally make sense, and that’s going to make the difference.

Don’t Base Decision Only On Price.

Another tip. I see online where there’s a lot of digital marketers who promote the same products. The reason is simply that those products are the highest paying affiliate offers. For example, a lot of people promote Bluehost because quite frankly Pat Flynn from Smart Passive Income posted income statements of his Bluehost commission. He made over six figures a year promoting Bluehost. Now everyone is promoting Blue host. The problem is Pat got in early and now Bluehost lowered changed their affiliate commission rate and not only that do you really want to force people to change hosting platforms just so you can make an affiliate commission?

Just focus on your content and related products and make money without having that headache of moving people to different platforms. Besides all the platforms are relatively the same anyway. At least all the top hosting platforms are relatively in the same boat so you’re not going to be giving a ton of advantages by switching web host companies.

What’s up marketers and entrepreneurs, Rod checking in with a new article. Today we’re going to talk about passive income and how to make it with online marketing. A lot of you guys want to figure out how to take your income to the next level and make that passive income so that you can make money in your sleep. I want to give you guys three ways on how you can actually start your passive income and actually get you started. I want to make sure you guys are aware of all the options.

Have Your Primary Income In Order (Jobs , Skills & Knowledge)

A lot of times people want to set up their passive income but they don’t even have their primary income right. You have to get your primary income in place so that you can leverage that in the creation of your passive income. Yes, there’s going to be a point in the future where you can primarily focus on your passive income but right now especially for the beginner or student who are trying to take their career to the next level. Early in your career, it’s so important that you have your active income in order. The money you make from your active income will feed your passive income and you need to invest in your passive income as early in life as possible. Make sure your skills, knowledge and niche is in order. Niche down do a specific skill set and industry where you can be an influencer. It’s so important that you position yourself as an authority and that way you can have other income options in the future.

A lot of people think hey you don’t have to have any money to start passive income but that’s a lot of bull guys. You’re going to have to have some active income or some kind of income. It doesn’t have to be active but you’re going to have to have some kind of income to really feed and ignite your passive income to the point where it can make you some significant income.

Start Creating Content Online

That being said guys let’s get started on that point number two, creating content. I always harp on how content is King. These days online marketing is hard. To just put out ads and sell somebody on the product is a waste. Yes you’re going to have exceptions where they are in an emergency so they just going to pick the first option that’s available to them and buy but that’s only about 1 to 2% of your audience. What about the other 98% of your audience. Content is going to build relationships with those other 98%. As you create the content, create the videos and put it online you don’t necessarily have to be there selling. Your content is going to sell itself for you. That’s passive income. You don’t have to be there, your content is going to represent you. That is the cornerstone of passive income.

So in the beginning, you’re going to have to actively create content. But once your content gets into place, once you promote it, once it starts to get indexed by the search engines, once YouTube and social media start to push it, you’re going to start making money. You need to think long term when it comes to passive income. A lot of the time your older videos are the ones that make you the most money. Once your content has had time to be indexed and matured it’s going to put money in your pocket. Hence passive income. You have to leverage that content.

A lot of people think they can create passive income with no money and little effort and their content just sit in the background and do nothing. That’s laziness guys quit this BS. It’s time to look yourself in the mirror and say hey I need to start putting myself in a position to make more income. It’s so important that you do that. So let’s get the laziness out of the way.

I know a lot of people are attracted to this video because passive get rich quick income fits well with a lazy lifestyle. But just like everything else guys, there are times where you’re going to have to put the pedal to the metal and work hard.

Your Premium Content (Courses & Sevices You Can Outsource)

Okay, so you got your primary income and your content in place. Now you want to really start igniting this passive income. So the next step is to start scaling. This is where you start leveraging your courses and outsourcing services. A lot of times you’re going to promote your content and you’re going to use ads or affiliate programs which can make you a ton of money depending on your niche but what is really going to take you to the next level is outsourcing. You are the brand, you’re the one selling the service but you don’t necessarily have to be the one to do the day today maintenance of content and website administration and marketing. You will have to oversee that process to a certain extent to make sure the quality control and messaging is good.

You want to get it to the point where you can take the things that’s in your mind and get it developed and put in digital format. That’s where outsourcing it to your team comes in. You will be leveraging technology and human resources. This is the ultimate way to make passive income.

This way you can make money as you sleep or traveling overseas. Whatever you want to do and wherever you want to go, you will still be make money in dollars in the United States.

You need to master this concept and get your head wrapped around it especially if you’re the nine to five type. Maybe you’ve been taught to work a job to get a certain result. But you can break out of that mindset and into a more entrepreneurial mindset which I liken it to the following analogy. When you plant an apple seed, you won’t get right away but over time you’re going to grow an apple tree and the apple tree is going to produce apples without you being there, Yes you had the water it from time to time but you don’t have to be there every single day to water that tree like you did at first. That’s the same with passive income. I would suggest you guys lay that foundation to put yourself in a position to win.

What’s up marketers in problem solvers, Rod checking in. Today we’re going to talk about how to make money with Amazon. I’m going to give you guys a step-by-step on how I actually got started. We always give you a general overview on each topic but when you want more detailed information check out my free 7th step freelance guide below.

Amazon is an e-commerce site where you can basically buy anything and everything online. If you think you have to have a product to actually make money on Amazon, think again. You don’t need to sell any product directly but what you can do is make money as an affiliate. That’s where I’m going with this article. That’s where I focus my efforts on this site, digital marketing. I want to put you guys in a position where you can still build a brand with Amazon and make money without having a product necessarily getting in the way of the terms and conditions at Amazon.

Amazon is in the businesses of making money for Amazon. They are only promoting Amazon branding. You need to know how to navigate this whole Amazon thing. If you try to insert your brand in Amazon and they will deactivate your account pretty fast. There are ways that you could promote your brand and really make money without necessarily having to do all the hard work to get started and affiliate marketing is the way to go.

Promote Affiliates Link on Niche WordPress Site

I got four points I want to cover today so let’s get started. I am a huge proponent of setting up a Words Press authority site in a tight niche. It could be a niche site, it could be as an authority site, it could be a local site, regardless of what kind of site it is as long as it’s branded. It could be a product or service and you can make money on Amazon via affiliate marketing.

Amazon has millions of products. Amazon has products that you ever see in a brick-and-mortar store. You can actually buy pretty much anything on Amazon. Obviously, it’s got to be legal and it’s got to fit the terms of services. Let me give you an example. If I create a photography website, I’m going to be teaching you a lot about photography equipment. How to set up your equipment, lighting, background, the camera, everything. All the equipment I’m telling you about, I provide my affiliate link to Amazon for that piece of equipment. You can promote Canon you can promote pretty much anything and everything in this way and make money from it. Obviously, the commission is based on what you promote but the idea is the same, you can make money without necessarily selling the camera or lighting. I don’t have to have any knowledge of how to sell that stuff. I could just promote their products and they’ll give me a piece of the pie. The advantage of this vs selling your products directly is when you send traffic to Amazon it doesn’t matter what they buy you still make a commission whereas if you are only selling products if they don’t buy your particular product then you don’t make a sale.

Amazon is not the only place that does this JVzoo ClickBank, Walmart, Target, all the retailers have affiliate programs. Today we’re only going to focus on Amazon. But if you have a specific of affiliate program you want me to talk about, put a request in the comments section below and I’ll cover it for you guys in another article.

So go ahead and set up your niche authority WordPress website, local site whatever a kind of website you have depending on the specific content your focusing. But do not be too general, a niche site is going to resonate much more with your audience and in the long run, you’re going to make more money.

Promote Affiliates Link on YouTube Channel

This is the best way to make money on Amazon and the concept is the same for a YouTube channel. As you talk about a specific product you put links to that product in the description box or in the overlay cards and say go check out that camera or lighting equipment and you can make money that way too.

Promote Amazon Affiliates Link on Email List

An email list is another way you guy’s can make money with affiliate marketing. You send out a ton of emails to your subscribers, tell them to go to your website and then they click on Amazon affiliate links that way. But the end result is the same. you can get to make money on Amazon via your email list.

Indirect promotion via social media channel

Last but not least social media platforms. I’m kind of lukewarm on Facebook. Depending on what area of Facebook, if you’re working with pay to advertise, it’s going to be hard to work with affiliate links on Facebook. I don’t want you to go that route but what I want you to do is build your email list with YouTube and then you can promote affiliate marketing products via your email list this way, you get the best of both worlds. You can get traffic to your site from your social media accounts. Or you can get traffic to your youtube video from your social media accounts. Forums work that way too.

The main idea is to focus on ways that you can build your brand, your relationship with customers directly on your website first. Then monetize it with Amazon affiliate marketing.

A lot of you guys got YouTube channels or you’re interested in making videos. You’re trying to leverage your affiliate marketing with Youtube and I want to give you guys some tips to get started. But before I do I want to say that I assume you have your foundation in place: Niche, knowledge & experience solving problems.

Find The Offers For your Youtube Channel.

First of all, I want to give you guys two tips about affiliate marketing. For beginners I want you to have your niche nailed down. Why? because you have to know something about a particular industry. You have to have experience solving problems in a particular niche. Because what we’re going to do on YouTubes build relationships via video and if you don’t have some knowledge about the niche your creating content in, it’s going to be hard your to offer your audience the product or service on the other side of your affiliate marketing links. If you don’t come across as being articulate or knowledgeable about what you’re doing you will be wasting your time. I want to help you save time by giving you guys the know how to invest in affiliate marketing. If you very little knowledge or experience about a niche you want to get into then you need to learn about it. The good thing is you don’t have to be an expert. You just have to know a little bit more than your audience so that you can provide them insight and ideas.

Being in affiliate marketing you are familiar with Amazon and ClickBank offers. I want to give you guys some insight. When your building relationships with people on You Tube, you have the option to put links in the description box below the video and all around the channel. The best way you are going to get people to click on these links is to provide value and encourage them to go to the description box. When you first start promoting your affiliate links on YouTube, you have to match the offer with the content. I can’t tell you guys how many times you find wrong offers on a Channel. If your fitness channel, you don’t need to be selling dog food. I see time and time again where people make these mistakes. You don’t want to oversell your audience on stuff that does not make sense. It’s okay to offer things that make sense for your messaging and channel. But it doesn’t make sense to overdo it because you come across as a sell-out. It’s okay if you don’t have a lot of content at first because you’re going to get more knowledgeable because as time goes on you are going to be able to provide more content and therefore more offers. So you need to keep this in mind.

Leverage Your Description & Video Link For Your Affiliate Offers

Number two leverage the description box more. YouTube lets you directly link to affiliate offers. Not so with Facebook unless it’s a trusted site. Youtube is a little bit more forgiving about it, they’re tightening it up but it’s still pretty good compared other platforms. You have a description box so use it. You can put however many links you want to have in there but don’t overdo it. You can do the same thing in other places on your YouTube channel. It’s important to leverage those places with affiliate links but remember to put a lot of good content in there other than your offers. You can also put Bitly in there so that you could track your links as well.

Also, if you are thinking about promoting ClickBank or JV Zoo offers, YouTube tends to allow them but I advise you to put them on your website first. Those affiliate links tend to change and when they do you have to go and change all the links on the videos. Unless it points to your website first. This way even when you have to change the links on your website at least they are coming to your website instead of getting a broken link. You have more control over how you direct your YouTube traffic.

At least YouTube still allows you to put affiliate links, a lot of platforms don’t allow you to do that anymore. You’re going to find out that a lot of platforms do not allow you to put affiliate offers on their platform because in the past you had too many get rich quick schemes, Black hat marketing tricks and email spam to promote affiliate links. All these black hat SEO and marketing tricks rubbed these platforms the wrong way. In 2019 they’re kind of lightening up this a little bit but still there a stigma out there about affiliate links and how they are scamming people. Affiliate marketing got a bad rap but I’m going to show you how to Market your affiliate links the right way. I’m going to show you the strategies you need to have in place that’s going to set you apart from the get-rich-quick, fly-by-night marketers and really put you in a position to win.

Have A Sequence Of Offers Based On Video Topics & Categories

The last tip I am going to give you is sequencing. It’s okay to go out and find different affiliate links and different offers but you need to put them where it makes sense. For example, you’re helping somebody build a studio full of audio equipment. Don’t do a video where you put a ton of affiliate links up front. Instead create a step by step video playlist to show how do you create soundproofing on a wall, how do you do lighting and how do you do audio. This way not only are you able to offer more affiliate links but it makes sense in the process. Don’t just have a wall full of links on every video that’s not specific to that video, it doesn’t make sense. A lot of YouTubers do that. I’ve been guilty of that in the past myself. I am learning that having a sequence that way if a customer or a visitor is looking at this YouTube video when they go down to the description box there’s new relevant information and it’s not the same old stale thing that’s something. I’m currently working on this and I suggest you guys do the same thing. You’ll make a ton more money put you in a position to win.

Guys as you already know I always try to get you guys in a position to win with affiliate marketing. I like affiliate marketing as a secondary option and use my own info products as my primary option. So I offer secondary affiliate links where it makes sense. I don’t want to oversell you on that but a lot of people like to use it as a primary option to make money so I’m going to make sure I provide that information. The main thing is to have multiple options, don’t put all your eggs in one affiliate marketing basket. Because once you start making a lot of money and depending on that, the merchant changes the rules. You see it with Apple, Amazon and with all the third-party merchants. They have these amazing affiliate programs at the beginning and can make a ton of money, you create your marketing strategy, website messaging all around those affiliate links but they’re going directly to the merchant who promotes their other products and services without you getting those commissions. At the end of the day, they just snatch those original customers away from you and you haven’t built your own brand.

So I am a huge fan of building your own brand first and then offer the affiliate links as a solution. That way they come to you the next time they have a problem in that area and you can offer them different affiliate links. A lot of people have a problem with that but I find that’s the best long-term strategy that’ll keep you in business so you can build a great agency or a great business in a way that you don’t necessarily have to do the day to day operations.

Be a problem solver so you can point them to the solution and as long as it works they’re going to keep coming back to you.
